The nation of Nyissa is enshrouded by swamps and jungles, from one border to the other, the perfect climate for the people of Issa, God of Serpents.  In fact, if you are within an area of jungle to the south of Tolnedra, you are within the borders of Nyissa.  The equator passes through the southern third of this nation and as such it is extremely hot, and the swamps make it humid as well.  As in the jungles of our own world, the realm of the the snake-people contains many plants and animals found nowhere else in the world, and the citizens of this land are among the greatest pharmacologists in the world, although they are known more for their poisons than their medicines.
